Judging by your handle you are in O&G? Become valuable at your job and you won't pay for a deer.

I’m not anymore, was a short lived gig when I made username. I love my public land Elk, Mule Deer, and Pronghorn hunts though.

Not hating on anybody lucky enough to go to these ranches was just curious more than anything after seeing prices.

It is a different world, coming from LA and MS these deer might as well be retarded.

It is pretty amazing and I have been blessed. I refuse to go on high fence hunts.

All that being said I would never pay for a whitetail hunt. My public land western hunts are way more fulfilling.

I ever hit one of these B+ lottos I am buying a place in STX. It is the playground of the ultra wealthy.

It ain't nearly as cool as it seems.

I haven't been on a corporate sponsored big buck shoot yet, but I've done other corporate paid stuff and know quite a few people who did vendor paid trophy deer hunts. Nothing canned is fun at all. I'd rather shoot does at my own camp than 180" trophies somewhere else. There's zero sense of accomplishment in that. It's like hunting cattle, except the meat isn't as good.
