I know it’s crazy but Cook contributed by getting eligible and giving this team a boost. I figured this team would be fricked without him.

But it seems like this team has outgrown Cook and moved on.

Trae just contributes more to winning than Cook. Cook is a good player, probably better than Hannibal, but Hannibal just does the little things that contribute to winning more.

I can’t believe there was ever a time where our starting backcourt was PG Mike Williams and SG Carlos Stewart.

If trae started at PG and Tyrell at SG/SF from the start of the year our record would be a LOT better

Not sure if that is correct. Cook is the best ball handler and it isn't really close. Him with the ball at point changes the opposing defense and probably opens a few paint opportunities if defenders push out to stop him from driving. The problem is Baker and Dean may not be the right 5 for that situation. Probably Reed/Fountain are better options then.

That's just my probably not-so good take.
