"LSU Baseball's pitching, especially now that Gage Jump has taken the ball in a start and looked solid, is good enough for it to be an Omaha team with a mediocre offense."

How do some of y’all put on pants

That guy is saying LSU’s pitching is good enough that the offense could almost suck and still make it to Omaha.

It looks like they are more saying that as a compliment to the pitching staff because they are that good, and could carry a mediocre offense if that happened

Didn’t they also say Wake Forest was unbeatable last year? They seem to be wrong often so not really concerned.

I think they mean if LSU has a mediocore offense.

It is still way too early to know if this team is going to hit better.

And we probably will not know until SEC play. Friday at Texas will be our first real test, let's see.

Sure CJJ will put that up on the bulletin board. That’ll make his competitive blood boil

The OP is simply trying to catch TrueTigerTale as worst baseball poster of the season.

27, 18 , 11, & 10 runs is not what I’d call a mediocre offense so far. Sure they’ve only scored a 5 or less against a couple teams but you can say the same thing about everybody else in the top 10 as well. Guess they all have mediocre offenses

The OP is just concerned with being correct at this point. He started a thread saying LSU couldn't hit, and then had to sit through the hit parade Sunday. Nearly everything suggest he is dead wrong, but he just moves the goal post. Now LSU only hit good bc they didn't play anybody.

Hell, he even linked a quote that doesn't even mean what he thinks it means. But he desperately wants to not be wrong, more than he wants LSU to hit.

Hit better? They just tied the record for hits in a game and put up 18 runs against Stoney Brook and their batting average is .333.

All the talk of this team not hitting good is an over reaction to a couple games where the weather was not favorable and the players were impatient at the plate. Tanks, our nation leading RBI batter from last year didn't even swing a bat for six months or more because of his shoulder surgery. Couple that with a younger more inexperienced lineup and it will take a bit to get the guys rolling.

Jay will have the guys consistently hitting well by SEC play.

Our offense isn’t far from last years so that’s dumb. Its not as consistent as last years but it shouldn’t be. But we have just as capable if not more so at the end of the year than it was last year. Pitching will be very good and deep. Scary stuff. The defense looks to be really good as well. I think it’s time to give Larson a shot at starting some games too. Larson, Bingham and Brown can be our most consistent RBI hitters, besides Tommy Tanks, Hayden and Bear bc of their HR ability. That’s 6 of 9 really good hitters and I didn’t even mention Milam, Pearson or Kling. This is a legit top 10 offense. Crazy.
