Real definition is keeping players longer than they should at either the expense of youth or talent.

We were the oldest team in the league last year which is no surprise.

While real organizations like KC and GB trade their soon to be expensive players and restock the Saints do the opposite and let the youth walk.

Such a shite GM.

Do you have the money to buy the team and fire Loomis? If yes? Please for the love of God get off the internet and call Gayle. If you do not then you should find the nearest Saints-fans anonymous meeting.

This started when Brees and Payton were still in NO and the Saints were keeping their core together for that last run that never happened. Now the organization is stuck with all of these contracts that would result in expensive cap hits to get rid of them. So you either lose both players AND money, or you slowly phase the older players out and ultimately save money. Contrary to what Madden franchise mode has allowed you to do, you can't nuke a roster like the Saints in real life.
