I’ve never seen people actually working on it. Just a bunch of trucks and equipment and cones. Like they fricked it all up and then were like “now let’s take our time…”
Never thought it was necessary.

Curious of this timeline. Anyone have any idea?

Louisiana folks are a strange bunch. They despise progress.

Problem is your typical government entity's definition of "fixing roads" usually involves delays, subpar work, contracts awarded to friends and cousins...
Ask me how that uptown new orleans road paving thing went a few years ago. Man that was so awesome.

I just don’t understand out of all the pressing needs for EBR roads that that stretch of highway was that bad?
The concrete that was used had an issue similar to Chinese drywall. You never wondered why there were thousands of patches? Yea, it was that bad.

The time it takes to do something simple is laughable. It took them 4 years to change a small bridge over Thompson Creek in West Fel. It took 1 year to build the Empire State Building.

If they just made an elevated interstate on top of Airline, traffic would be so much better all around the city.

No clue on the timeline, but they at least FINALLY started pouring some concrete last week.

You seem pretty familiar with this project. I'm starting to wonder if you need to get back out there and start pouring some concrete.

I am so thankful to be out of that shithole city. Have fun with that the next decade.

"I'm stressed out. Screaming and crying. It's a lot of U-turns, a lot of pleading with other drivers to let you in but what can we do," LSU student Madeline Doucet said.

Prolly the Baton Rouge fault causing those particular issues on Jefferson Hwy.

It’s some quarry in Kentucky’s fault. Something that’s in that concrete is making it deteriorate. I’m not exactly sure about the whole story. And it’s old AF. I think that concrete was poured in the 80s
