I think we need to all get together. I recently meet a guy that also grew up in area and we talked for hours. I’m convinced we all know each other.

Someone needs to start a Monticello reunion FB page for sure.

O’Neal Ln/Millerville area is another area that I can’t believe how much has changed from the 90s.

We live off of South Harrells Ferry. Millerville isn't that bad. Sherwood and O'Neal are pretty ghetto. I remember when Millerville was a semi rural 2 lane road with a private school on it.

We should rent out the Greenbriar Elementary gym for the reunion.

I remember kids from Monticello would ride their bikes on our side and would call us the poor kids because we didn’t live on their side lol

I don't remember that. It is strange that I didn't wind up knowing more kids from Park Forest, though, considering it was right across the way.

FYI: They have a Park Forest Junior High reunion every year now. Last year it was at the BREC Park on Highland Rd. I stopped by, cause I knew a bunch of the folks there.

If you learned that you had no game at the St Alphonsus dances than we probably know each other

Too many memories headbanging to "Welcome to the Jungle" and slow dancing to "The Flame" at those.

Ahh. That might explain some of the disconnect. You were four years ahead of me. Probably more likely you knew my badass older brother.

I “made out” for the first time at a St. Alphonsus dance with a gal that was one year older than me! Set me up for high school!

Same. I think this was a rite of passage for dudes who grew up in this area and time. Hell, I'm not even Catholic and went to the dances for the girls.

Doesn't Sharon Hyphen Broome live in Park Forest? I was gone long before she packed her carpetbag and moved there, but it seems I have heard that.

Willowwood now. Git 3 feet in 2016. Still here

We flooded 9 times. FEMA wouldn’t insure it anymore. The bought my parents out and leveled it. It’s one of the lots on willowmore. It can’t be built on again.
I had a good childhood growing up there. We’d ride bikes on the track between our houses and Gurney.

She does, or at least she still owns a house in her name there.

I really wish we could have an 80’-90’s reunion for kids that grew up in Park Forest, Monticello, and Central.
My 10 year Central High reunion ended in a fight over a beef with a girl from decades earlier. Stay classy, Central!
