Pork chops. I rarely see people cooking them anymore but they are phenomenal when cooked correctly.

I think a lot of people grew up on their parents cooking the thin ones and vastly overcooking them, so they don't like them as adults.
I agree a perfectly cooked thick cut chop is good.

Hushpuppies don't get the love they deserve.

mariners inn in Hammond has a 20 dollar pork chop that is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It’s thick, juicy, perfectly grilled and insanely good

Where I’m from fried and grilled pork chops is still a normal thing, even stuffed pork chops every now and then. Smothered pork chops is a different situation.

A good old fashioned farm house breakfast with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns and hot sauce.

Really? No shredded roast/gravy added to it, just mashed potato?

Any brand recommendations? I've never gotten real excited about chicken of the sea.
Kirkland's Solid White Albacore is my favorite

One of my favorite meals as a child was when my Mom fried pork chops. Seasoned flour only and in the deep fat fryer. They didn't fry for very long so they were still moist and they weren't the most thin chops. We had LeSueur sweet peas in the silver can and shoepeg white corn with sort of a light roux. From time to time, I recreate that meal.

I NEVER regret having BLTs for dinner. Underrated? I think it is because I only fix them once every 5-6 weeks which means I do not eat them enough...
