On Friday, February 9, 2024, around 10:30 PM, Farmerville Police and deputies with the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Georgia Street in Farmerville at the Union Villa Apartments. Initial calls reported numerous shots fired with multiple victims.
When authorities and EMS arrived on scene, two victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One female victim had been shot three times and has been listed in critical condition. A male victim was shot once in the lower leg.
The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation of the scene and determined that three shooters were present firing multiple rounds. The investigation has also uncovered that the shooting was the result of earlier altercations at a local apartment complex.

The LSU football program shortly released a statement for the situation:
“We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Union Parish. This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will have no further comment.”

Reporting to them is not the same thing as being detained. Sounds like it may just be questioning?

Yep. Best to just wait until the facts come out. Coming in for questioning doesn't sound great but it could mean a bunch of things that doesn't mean involvement.

I can't explain how damn bad I hate this. I've rooted for Trey since he was a freshman in high school. Never wanted another athlete besides Reuben Randle to succeed as much as I have Trey. This really sucks.

I said in an earlier thread that I looked up his name in our warrant system and nothing popped up. Having said that, when an individual is in for questioning like this we usually expect a warrant soon.
