I’m getting a generator installed at my house. I have a Maytag dryer that was working fine this morning. The electric company came by and shut the power down to the house while the generac people installed the generator. The power company came back about an hour ago and turned the power back on. Now the dryer won’t turn on. It’s dead. No lights, noting. Everything else in that room is working fine.

Any ideas what may have happened?

TIA

First thing to check is power to the outlet.

It should be on its own breaker. That’s what I’d check first to see if it’s thrown.

Agreed with a previous poster - test the outlet first to assure you actually have power there. That should tell you pretty quickly if the issue is your outlet or the drier itself.
