Loer, Guidry, and Cam Johnson are going to be in those roles. Jump is going to work into the rotation but has something he is dealing with. Herring and Jump are going to be interchangeable in the rotation or long relief roles. This could be the opportunity Herring needs to lock down the starting spot with Jump coming back slowly.

Bump

You’ll see him do it again this weekend as well.

I doubt you see him do it again this weekend. MAYBE Monday at the earliest for an inning.

If you see him before, then this kid should absolutely be a starter. Having Jump on Saturdays and Hurd or Holman on Sundays would equal a ton of wins.

Without having any inside knowledge of his injury, I can't see them having him pitch more than once a week for a while.

I think an ideal scenario is he's the first guy out of the bullpen when we have a lead on the weekend, typically helping ensure the Friday night win and hopefully closing a lot of those games out. Do that for the first half of the season while Cam Johnson hopefully proves he can close games out as well. By the 2nd half of the season Cam earns the trust to take Jumps spot and Jump moves into a weekend starter spot

He's thrown like 3 innings in spring baseball. From that you can kind of draw a conclusion that he's unlikely to pitch again this week. But the OP wanted to be right, so he didn't bother to wait to see if he was actually correct before weirdly beating his chest.

What are you bumping?

If he does it again it’s not because you know what you’re talking about. I don’t believe he will and if he does… the soonest he will pitch again is Monday.

For now he may think getting him ready to throw that one inning at end of game is better than starting him and only throwing him one or two innings and pulling him

As Les miles would say, he might be nicked

just for the record Guidry didn't pitch at all in the offseason leading into last season. He was a position player.

Everyone running to get their hot take in. shite is dumb. They don't know much yet at this point

It's bad this year, Les. Guys running in with screen shots of their hot takes after 4 games of baseball against VMI and Central Arkansas.

I’ve never seen the kind of pitching depth this team has before. It’s ridiculous.
