I've about had enough of my Blackstone. Rust issues make it a pain in the arse to deal with and honestly I never really liked it as it just felt cheap despite to price tag.
Yes, I'm aware that if I cook on it a good bit, it wont rust as much, but I have a friend that has a stainless steel thermostatic griddle and he loves it.
Doesn't have the rust issues, and I'm looking at upgrading the outdoor cooking area anyway.
For those that have it, what brand did you go with?
I was looking at this one from Precision HD
Its $1400 and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger. Already have a stainless steel table to put it on. Did you get gas or electric?
What are your opinions on it?

There was a couple in Jackson, many years back (Across from Shoney's at Westland Plaza) who tried to open a mom and pop slider place to compete with Krystal.
They cooked their sliders on two of these with only a counter separation between customers and the grills. The sliders were ok, but they had lots of trouble keeping their cooking area clean enough for public presentation and went under.
Lot to be said for Krystal cooking their sliders where you can't see the grill area. Cleanliness problems will exist with most folks who grill cook much stuff or use their grill very often. However, if you want one, buy it. Will probably work very well.
How do you rake the stuff into that little grease drawer? I don't see an opening on the grill or front plate.

I bought a LeGriddle last year. Very heavy stainless cooktop. I got a freestanding propane model. Works great.

What are the measurements on the grill top?
It looks to me like there is a groove between the cooktop and the piece with the lip that overhangs the controls. I would guess there is a hole there where the waste drips down.

I see the groove you are talking about. The commercial grills I worked on during my hamburger chef days was a lot larger than that and likely easier to use during the sometimes hectic burger cooking process. Keeping the gril clean is a must when a hundred burger patties pass over the grill during a two hour supper rush.
Good memories of a job I enjoyed for two or three years.

I mean, yeah, a griddle is a griddle as long as the burners are good. There’s nothing wrong with that griddle. If you want to spend the money on it, by all means, pull the trigger.
