Why is Kelly Clarkson so popular?
Not saying she is not OK looking and has moderate talent, but you would think she was hot as Audrey Hepburn and sang like Judy Garland.

With American Idol and "reality" talent the loud has gone up but the training seems to have gone down.

Why do you care? Had to ask the wife who she was as I've never watched American Idol and don't listen to the bro-country music they play on the radio. My wife assures me I'd recognize a song or two, but obviously Clarkson's voice wasn't noteworthy at the time (or to be fair, maybe is was the material).

Interesting factoid about Kelly. She is who suggested, via a tweet to Taylor Swift, that Taylor should re-record all of Taylor’s music that was sold without consent. So, in a way Kelly is responsible for all the Taylor mania today. So whatever you think about Kelly’s music she appears to be a good businesswoman
