And of course he's lazy. That's not up for debate. But he's far less likely to even try if he knows some purple haired land whales with 27 piercings and trans flags tattooed on their necks are going to reeeee like hell as soon as some woman so much as gets her arse grabbed.
The stuff he wrote 20 years ago won't fly now, and everyone knows it. The studios sure as hell know it.
