They're as stupid as fricking payday loans.

If people used them as intended, for short-term storage when you move to a new city or something, then fine.

But I guarantee most are filled with junk people forget about or can't let go of.

My mom was a hoarder and got two pods at some point after Katrina. she paid them for years until she died.

Going through her finances, I saw she was paying $400 a month. Going back years. Thousands of dollars pissed away.

I was so mad. I went and looked at the first one. Nothing of value in it. Not trash, but just stuff that wasn't worth holding on to. Blankets, Christmas decorations, etc.

I didn't bother looking in the second. I knew it was more of the same. Stopped payment on both units immediately and told them to do whatever they wanted to the stuff but i wasn't paying for it anymore.
