The main reason generations start out leaning left, besides the natural ignorance that comes with youth, is because of the natural urge young people have to rebel against the current norms. In past generations the norm was more conservative. Thus, young people sought to rebel against it. Now the norm for society is to lean left. Everything from media, entertainment, music, everything leans way to the left today. Thus, today’s youth who want to rebel, are doing so against the leftist norm of today.
