Well first off, it was a rhetorical response and should have been taken as such. Secondly, I live over 1000 miles away, but if I did live closer I would definitely try and help with the solution. All I can do from this spot is help come up with ideas to extend the life of these still working devices...
(the real answer here is to try and change the corporate mentality of having to discard this many devices simply because they want parity in their work spaces. In fact, I would argue this goal is virtually impossible to achieve in any practical sense. Furthermore, if I were a shareholder of this corporation, I think I'd be pretty upset at the wastefulness of this strategy.

Service desk was spending more time trying to learn how different brands of monitors worked across the globe..The more cost efficient move was to simply future proof, partner with Dell, and roll out
I get your ideas, and this came from well above me, but happy users make the least noise
