The Advocate's staff writer Reed Darcy has an article in The Advocate saying, "Iowa guard Caitlin Clark on pace to break Pete Maravich's hallowed scoring record". That's more Advocate gibberish and is only in the writer's head. (no, I'm not giving a link to give the Advocate clicks). Maravich and Clark didn't play the same sport and the two sports have different record books. Similarly, there is a separate record book for NCAA men's track records and NCAA women's track records.

This is such crap. Not even worth the paper written upon. Total absence of equivalency. She can't sustain the rigor against men and who knows what Pistol would have hung playing women.

Folks need to stay in their lane and cease all of this stupidity

It’s a completely different sport to all you male feminists. The record is safe.

Advocate meant to say Catlin breaking women's record...

In comparison...Pete played 3 years averaged 44 per game without 3pts line...against men

A woman can’t break a man’s record

They are inferior

This is stupid. The Women’s Basketball is smaller, plus they have a 3 point line. Pistol would have averaged 57 ppg with the 3 point line.

If another 100lb student runs in front her again, she could be out for the season.

Her breaking it won't bother me nearly as much as if that bum low level player had broken it where they had to buy their way into a low level tournament to get extra games in on a terrible team

Such comparisons are absurd. They are probably told to write that sort of nonsense.
