Is it worth it getting headlights from RockAuto?

I called the Toyota dealership to get a quote on some new oem headlights and he told me I was better off getting them from RockAuto for half the price and that’s where he bought his headlights for his car. Anybody bought headlights from RockAuto and been happy with them?

You can get oem parts from rockauto.
Literally the same thing Toyota would sell you and the pricing should be way cheaper. I do order from rockauto when there is time to wait.

Yes. Don't pay the jacked up dealer prices. You can buy OEM from RockAuto and others if you want.

Even aftermarket, if it's a standard regular halogen reflector headlight, you can buy it from anywhere and results will be pretty much the same.
If it's an HID projector headlight you'll see output quality drop off.

Rock auto sells quality stuff.
**bonus** always check the "show closeouts" section on rock auto. You'll catch crazy deals at times.

Rock Auto is legit.
I’ve been buying from them for years.
Plus free magnets!

You can get OEM parts for around a little more than 50% of the cost that the dealership will sell to you for on most items. Aftermarket parts will be cheaper there than Autozone or other parts places. You just have to wait a week or so to get your parts.

One thing to note about RockAuto is they often have 10 or more SKUs for each part. If it takes more than 5 minutes to install I buy what they have listed as OE or on the rare occasion they don't have the OE part listed I buy from the top level. The price differences are not enough on most parts to make me interested in having to do it twice.

I replaced xenon headlight in my 2014 GmC Acadia.
Autozone was $115 for one
Amazon was 2 for $29.
Color was a little different than oem but close enough.

Make sure they're intense enough to blind on-coming vehicles.

I bought some new tail lights off of Ebay and they’ve lasted years.

I purchased headlights from them for my son’s 01 tundra. Perfect fit, no issues at all. I’ve used Rock Auto a few time over the last 20 years and haven’t had an issue but once, and they corrected it.

Do they have rock holes in them or something?
Or are they just cloudy?
If they’re cloudy, you can easily fix that for much, much less.
This stuff worked great:
Cerakote Restoration

I bought a used Silverado and one headlight was scratched the hell up, the other fine. So, I go order one from RA, about a hundo. Install myself, works fine for about a week. Blinker light stopped working. Well I kept the old lights out of the used, scratched lens, and replaced it, worked fine. Get a e-mail from RA about my experience with them and relayed the blinker light stopped working. They refunded me everything but the blinker, ended up costing me about 20.00 bucks. Never buy from anybody else.

They're fricking headlights. Buy the cheapest.
For frick's sake, I think some of you need instructions to jack off.
