I mean a Game of Thrones rip off
even down to the musical score but it is based on history a little bit
but I just like it for the scenery shooting the city of Florence in that way was magnificent

So a series about people who actually existed is somehow a rip off of a fantasy series?

I have not seen it, but it's about time. The Medici family is one of the most interesting and, arguably, the most influential family in the history of the word.
They pretty much created banking, started wars, put 3 Popes in the Vatican, had people murdered and established Florence as the most important arts city in the world. You know that you have a badass family, when your house band is Mozart.

I really enjoyed the first season of Medici. Something about all the back and forth power struggle was really entertaining.
Unfortunately with the Season 2 time jump, I lost interest.

Same.
Was surprised at the time that season 1 wasn’t a big hit but season 2 wasn’t released until 2 seasons later, had a completely different cast and focused on a completely different generation so I had no interest in picking it back up.
Networks have done a big disservice in the last several years by not sticking to an annual schedule.
I get trying to maximize production value but huge gaps between seasons causes whatever audiences that they had to fall off.
Very very few series can pull it off.
