True statement for the past 50 years.

Not so true in the last 3. Cov PD did basic police work for past couple of years. Over 120 guns off the streets and the bad guys who had the guns. Those who aren't in Parish Jail today moved elsewhere. About the only arrests we make now are knuckleheads from out of town who didn't get the memo. It's not perfect but it's a different place (nicer) than decades before.

Zig zag through the neighborhood next time you're in the area. It hasn't looked better in my lifetime.

The mayor ain't wrong and I've lived in the area my entire life except for a 6-7 year stint in GA.

what's crazy is how many of them played sports at SPS

eta: plus the rap sheets some of them have/had before getting locked up in that bust

I often wondered what took so long. That crew was always on twitter saying exactly what crimes they were committing
