As others have said, get him in a gym. Set him up with a personal trainer who can help explain to him how to eat right to gain muscle and lose fat.

He’s the right age to begin building those habits.

If that’s true he wasn’t overweight at 115

Wait. What?

If that’s the case, he wasn’t overweight several months ago. Some do seem to lean up right before or part of a growth spurt but that’s pretty light.

Have you considered getting into weight lifting with him? 14 is when our son began going to the gym with my husband and they got really into some routine they found. 3 years later and my kids benching 315 lbs and runs his own nutrition plan.

Does he play any sports? Might wouldnt hurt to remind him that hes at the last stage of growing and if he wants to grow to his fullest height, he needs to be eating a lot of protein
