It’s perplexing to say the leas this herd mentality of pumping up a player based on a last name whenever anyone who has seen him play knows he’s overrated as frick. I’m sure he can become decent but holy frick what were they watching whenever they rated him that high?

Georgia is the new standard.
Texas is further away from that then we are.
One decent season in a weak conference doesn't put you at the top of the mountain. Just ask Washington.

Alabama is the winningest program in SEC history and they have always been, at least since WWI. More championships and more wins before Nick Saban ever came to Tuscaloosa.
Bama may not dominate like they have the last 16 years, but they will not go away.

Team to beat where, in the SEC?… Georgia is still the team to beat in the SEC until further notice. Let’s not be silly.

One analyst said Arch Manning would have been a 3-star had his name been Arch Smith.

Lol were you alive during the Mike Price, Francione, Shula tenures?

How can Texas be the team to beat? they haven't won anything since 2005?

Oh but they will be out of our way. I promise. Give it 5 years and they’ll be a constant 2-3 year coach carousel. The gumps are dumb and delusional.
There will be no consistency or sustainment. They are done.

Of course you have no way of knowing that. When Saban left LSU we weren’t done, and we won a natty three years later. You think that because of the situation, Bama will fail, and they might, but great men are not governed by events and situations; great men govern the events; they govern the situations.

We have to take advantage now

Texas isn’t even in the Top 3 of “teams to beat”

Texas is about to see an SEC schedule for the first time. That will be the culture shock as each week rolls into another football crazed venue. You have to live that to truly appreciate the amount of attrition that has on a team over the season.
BAMA will lose some players in the transition because that's what players do. We will also pull some guys from Washington and that too is just what usually happens. Plus recruiting and the magic portal season isn't near over, even if coach Saban was still coaching. In the end, BAMA is BAMA and the depth and talent level will be on full display in September.

y’all so desperately want this to be true and it’s just not
I fully expect us to go 9-3 next year and will be perfectly fine with it. Maybe even 8-4 if we have some tough roster attrition.
Bama is still Bama as much as your tiny little minds can’t comprehend that. We’re still the class of the conference from a historical standpoint, and are only second to UGA in the current SEC landscape.

For 2-3 years, sure. Then it’s back to being up and actually being down like everybody else. Understand that the two GOAT college coaches made you, not the other way around. You’re the luckiest college franchise in ncaa football.
There won’t be another Bear or Nick level of coach there. Those days are over.
