Marvel’s Echo has dropped

I watched episode 1. Fights are telegraphed and punches are pulled. Clearly trying to recreate the one-shot hallway fights of Netflix Marvel, but I don’t care about this character. They haven’t done anything to help me care about her, either.
Sounds like they're aware of its shortcomings, which hopefully means this will be fixed by Daredevil.
Started strong, with side-alien-boob, though.

Legitimate question because I haven't looked too much into the show: is her dialogue all sign language with subtitles?

Watched two episodes with my son. Looks like they're copying Ms. Marvel (why?) in that she has visions of her ancestors. They're gonna give her some kind of lost Native American power. Got the glowy hands at the end of the 2nd episode. I'll probably watch the rest since it's only 3 more episodes, but it's not good. Not sure Kingpin can save it.

I know they are wanting people to want to see this Echo girl, but the only reason the vast majority of people will give it a shot is b/c of Daredevil and Kingpin.
That being said, you'll get the viewers b/c of those two guys, and if you write a good story and create a good character in Echo, then you succeeded.
But i saw the trailer for it on tv the other day and it was that same terrible fight scene that was shot awfully, and it's going to be hard for me to spend my time watching something that put something that crappy in their trailer.

I just have zero interest in watching this.
Slightly off topic: I started rewatching Legion last week (I watched the first season and some of the second, but never finished it). THAT was a really good Marvel TV show. I’d put it up with Loki and the first season of Jessica Jones.

Yep, was hearing from scoopers a while back this this show was terrible. She was fine in Hawkeye by herself no need for a show.
But they need something to put on D+, so we'll be getting more of this.

This show was ok, nothing more. It felt disjointed and rushed like some other offerings have as well, very similar to Ms. Marvel in that regard.
Kingpin was awesome though and stole every scene he was in. I like the direction he’s heading and cannot wait to see more in Daredevil and hopefully Spider-Man 4. I’d like to see more scale to his crime syndicate like the Netflix shows had, but Echo was meant to be a personal story clearly and he likely has to build that back up slowly since the events of Netflix Daredevil are canon. Still, he’s setting up to be THE big bad of the street level which is intriguing.
