This is setting up to be the most exciting race in a while. Two free practices in the books and Red Bull is .5+ seconds behind. Would love to see McLaren and Ferrari fighting in the front Sunday Morning.

^^
I think this is the fruits of Monaco RB crash last year when the world got to see a RB car craned. So many pics were taken to look at their underside. Now teams are catching up after all the engineers have been working on reverse engineering.

Ya, redbulls floor was like a aerodynamic masterpiece and everyone elses was pretty much flat.

Wow that's a very imformative chart.
Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes are almost even.
Red Bull is 0.25s back.
VCARB is 0.40s back.
Everyone else is 0.80s back and worse. Overall, though, the times are pretty tight if the last team is only 1.1s back.
Wow, Aston Martin.

The data from the first day of #ImolaGP tell of a #F1 ready to ignite if the trends seen so far are confirmed. #RedBull is currently in difficulty, with a balance that not only is not there, but tends to vary between the axles, causing a huge crisis #Verstappen . They will certainly be able to turn the situation around, but at the moment the gap from the top is 4-5 tenths (both on the flying lap and on the pace), so if they find the key they shouldn't be able to dominate (then never say never... .). #McLaren technically stunning, with an excellent level of load efficiency and a package that works beautifully. Just like #Ferrari , which seems to have changed its skin, especially at the rear axle, with a lot more traction, and above all a perfect balance between the axles, combined with a high level of grip which guarantees excellent resistance to lateral loads and therefore high speeds cornering. The load of the #SF24 is efficient, and on this issue the #RedBull seems to have achieved because McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari and indeed RedBull all have practically the same top speed and a similar level of load. Setup and mechanics make the difference, without underestimating aerodynamic stability, a topic that has received much attention in Maranello after the enormous instability of the 23rd, and which is producing excellent tangible results, so much so that in FP1 the red car was the car least bothered by the strong wind. On pace #Leclerc with just more performance than the two McLarens, but with the two Woking cars insanely constant and scary from a race perspective. Qualifying will be decisive and the best hope that anyone who is passionate about #F1 can make is that the Imola weekend will maintain the expectations seen on the track today because it would be a wonderful spectacle.

There is a metric shite ton of data here that to my untrained eye seems to indicate the rest of this season could get spicy

Both Zo and the Mexican in the fence during FP3 and it looks like it may be a Ferrari/McLaren/RB battle for the front row.

Didn't even realize it's the 30th anniversary of Sennas death.
