This will be it. If they rule in his favor he has to win. Because if he doesn't you can kiss Justices Thomas and Kavanaugh goodbye as well as welcome six plus two new Justices to the now 15 member court.

Please, please Elena Kagan, make this a 7-2 decision. I have no hope for the other two.

Look for a possible surprise vote or (perhaps more likely) an oddball concurrence from Gorsuch.

I hope Kavanaugh writes the opinion because I like his temperate, plain-English approach, but I suspect the Chief will.

Good! Let's see if the SCOTUS is up to the task.
If not, we'll see civil war within 5 years.

Clearly not the text that requires congress to make the determination that the Colorado Supreme Court did.

That is clearly contrary to the previously obscure Orange Man Bad Exception to the entire constitution, which permits angry, unattractive Karens to determine all matters pertatining to Orange-Americans. This clause suspends due process, the first amendment and all other protections - because he's orange and bad- that's why.

If more than zero justices vote to uphold the Trump ban, we are in deep shite. There will be 4 to vote in favor of the ban.

There are now two branches of government: Congress and the President (with his life term judicial henchmen.)

He's probably sitting at a bar in NOLA with a mug of beer typing that response in his phone. He has no specifics.

decision to follow that could spark Trump’s removal from the ballot in states across the country.

Or, a decision to follow that could cement Trump’s place on ballots nationwide and help lock him in as the front runner for the R nomination.

See how easy it is to write a slanted sentence disguised as “factual reporting”.

The fact that CO and ME actually saw fit to ban is disconcerting in itself. The thought of the US Supreme Court being infested with members who do not summarily dismiss this foolishness is frightening.

Watch Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. She writes like a 3rd Grader (really). She's a lock to uphold the ban. How in God's name does someone like this slip through the defenses?

This entire episode is not unlike the Democrats' plan to 1) pack the court with lefties while Biden is still alive and then 2) create 2 new hand-picked left-leaning states (4 new Dem Senators) for good measure to protect their slim margin.

I'll leave you with these prophetic words from George Washington's Farewell Address (1796):

"All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations under whatever plausible character with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction; to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common councils and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
