I don’t understand folks who think he’s just fricking around when it comes to fixing the defense

I don't think he is fricking around, but what does give me pause is we had this same situation last year with special teams and he refused to address it during the season and did a piss poor job correcting it in the offseason.

If it weren't for the defense being an absolute clusterfrick, the poor special teams play this season would've been a lot more glaring. The excuse last year was we didnt have the depth to play the right people. What is the excuse this year? That to me is as unacceptable as the defense and falls more squarely at the feet of Kelly than anyone.

I support Kelly and supported the hire, and I'm very pleased with the overall results, but the man has some serious staff issues to address going into year 3.

Has he not been evaluating what the defensive coaches have been doing all year…. After every game?

Notice the word "full" in full evaluation of defensive staff. To me this means hes not looking at the obvious issue (house) he's going to fire a few position coaches and blame the season on them. House will be retained, otherwise he wouldn't need to throw that word in there

Only a rant poster would rather

“I’m just gonna knee jerk this thing because a bunch a guys that played high school football think there is only one obvious reason”

You don't know this, you don't know his thought process nor do you have any inkling how he wants to proceed.

According to leaks on The Rant, if accurate, I know how the LSU board and TAF told Kelly he must proceed. Kelly is stuck with House, that is unless House decides to move on or Kelly pitches in his own money for a buyout.

As I have said, looking forward to BK's next defensive offering.

You’re not responding to Kelly’s comments just trolling as usual

Yet I said this, in this very thread...

Maybe so. But I'll tell you what I know we shouldn't have to deal with in year 3, and that's a defense anywhere near as shitty as we watched all year. It's unacceptable to happen once, and if Kelly sticks with the same thing and it happens twice, then the blame falls 100% on him.

not creating any of your own threads. So damn afraid to put yourself out there, put your own reasoning or thoughts out there in public view.

I don't need to make a thread about every thought I have, like you do. Idk if you do it for attention, or what, but it makes you look dumb.

I have made plenty of post discussing topics worth debating/discussing. It just so happens you rarely ever have a thread that's good for that.

Who knows what's gonna happen but there's lots of hinting going on that House isn't being relieved of his duties.

By who? LSU “insiders” and media who haven’t had any kind of inside access or consistent read on what Kelly is doing since he got here?

More like " go find another job so we don't have to pay your buyout".... Thanks Woody

Why light $2 mil on fricking fire if the man is willing to just leave? You think we can’t find a better use for it, like maybe paying his replacement top dollar?

100% agree.

Hopefully Kelly isn't dumb enough to get himself Dinardo'd by sticking with House if shite goes sideways again.

An offering, sort of describes the situation well.

If your point is valid at all then we should change all position coaches and let mike the tiger be the DC and save some cash.

Yeah and it's the smart thing to do. Easier to attract top coaches if they know you're not going throw them under the bus after kicking them out the door without a job.

This. Ignore the trolls and dummies.

but it is possible that House is not the problem and the real problem is with the position coaches.

The first real problem was Kelly not hiring a d-line coach for four months. Players, essentially young players need a coach they can respect, not an out of position, fill in coach. Maybe that’s why Mason Smith was so unproductive.

Obviously Kelly is prolonging making any decisions regarding his defensive staff, almost as if Kelly is hoping House suddenly decides to on his own move on. Am I reading this wrong?

Guess you aren't so good of a poker player after all.
