Why is everyone thinking no changes will be made?

Miles has said that changes will be made. Give him time. I would rather him take his time and make the best choice rather than rush and make the wrong choice. He hasn't interviewed coaches for the fun of it.

wrong choice? We must act quickley are we will lose out on the best canidates. Chevis or Tenuta!

These are proven coaches and both will soon be hired.

I'm sick of people making excuses for his inaction VK has already been hired next will be Chevis the best DC available.

CARPE DIEM MILES!

1. So what if Chavis is hired elsewhere?
2. Tenuta already has a job.. as the LB coach at ND. What makes you think he's in the running for any other positions?

3. VK put pressure on Miles before Miles was done interviewing other candidates. Miles told him to take the KSU job.

Making changes could include Peveto being the sole DC and Mallory going back to DB coach. That would also qualify as "making adjustments." People are going to shite a brick if this happens.

has anyone even been interviewed? do we have evidence of this, all reports say that VK made miles make a decision, but has there been any quotes directly from any candidates? and miles saying changes will be made could be as simple as shuffling the defensive lineup to firing the DL coach. I do believe or at least hope that something will happen and that miles picks a kickass DC and not someone we've never heard of

According to another site, Peveto and Mallory will return as position coaches. Expect no more than 2 changes.

VK should've asked Ryan Perilloux how Miles responds to pressure.

I love Les Miles

Yeh and according to another site VK was gonna be the DC, everybody claims to be an insider. Until LM comes out and states his plans or a DC comments about LSU contacting them then Im not believing anything

This particular site was right about VK so I'm giving them the benefit at this point. But I know what you're saying.

The more you think about it, the more it makes sense not to get rid of so many defensive coaches before the bowl game. Chances are that Miles could not assemble a new staff before bowl practice was to start, and even if he could, it's not like the team would grasp a new defense in such a short time.

So, at this point, I agree with Malleveto (or is it Mallveto?) staying on through the bowl game.

Chicken i understand what your saying but by waiting to make changes until the new year doesnt that make it harder for Peveto, Mallory, and Lane if they are let go to get on with another staff

Seems like most of the coaching changes are happening right now.

I would rather make the change NOW. The bowl game comes second fiddle to allowing the players 2 weeks of practice with a new DC and a head start on what will occur next season. Could a new system REALLY be worse than what we've seen all year....even with 2 weeks of practice?

I believe so. And I would guess that Miles is thinking that he doesn't want to subject new coaches to the 2008 season. Let them start off with the new season with the seniors gone.
