Another rifle question thread….New Remi CDL or Xbolt Medallion?

Due to where I live, it’s difficult to find and handle both. I own both rifle brands but neither of these models. The new CDLs with the Timney triggers and 24in barrels get great reviews and Browning is Browning quality. Anyone shot both?

Neither.
But my stock A-Bolts have always been MOA with the right factory ammo and my stock 700’s have never been MOA, and have had a hard time getting there even with trigger swaps, bedding, and/or stock swaps.

I have a Tikka which I love and considered a Bergara but I really want a nice wood hand me down rifle. I guess my only other option would be Weatherby, in that price point…. Around 1k ish.

I’d buy an older , proven Remington 700 (70’s ~ 80’s) vintage before buying a new RemArms rifle.
I’d buy the Browning over the new REM

Also might want to consider a Winchester Model 70

Even though I haven't handled a new Remington, with the availability and aftermarket support that is the route I would go.

I’d go the CDL route if not for that huge, sticky, rubber recoil pad.

All the reviews of the new Rem 700 look great. Accurate and easily customizable. Don't like the butt pad, put a limb saver on it.
I'd go that route over the Browning if those are your only options. Remington had horrible QC during the bankruptcy but they're getting back to what Remington 700 are supposed to be with the new owners. You won't get junk.
I have 2 older Remington 700 that I customized (270 and 7mm rem mag) and I have a Remington 700 7mm rem mag DM CDL. I'm about to go buy a new Remington 700 243 Adl just to play with. I bet it'll shoot great even with the Tupperware.
