How bad of a fit Val is on this team. The difference Larry made out there was jaw dropping he was huge in that Dec stretch last season the problem with Larry is he can't stay healthy.

But having that rim protecting 5 to anchor the defense made the Zion lineup so much more effective on both ends. But when we had to put Val back in that's when the problems start he can't move so we have to put in better defenders in hurting the offense.

At this point I don't know what to do about our problem at the 5 but it's obvious they have to do something.

This was probably Larry’s best game in a long time

Jonas had a bad game, but he has been one of the most reliable guys all season.

Wouldn't be 30 minutes after a Pels game if someone on this board didn't make a sweeping generalization or judgment.

I’ve been his champion this season but he’s been awful as of late.

He’s averaged 17 (66 TS%) & 12 with 2 assists and a block in 31 mpg in Dec. He’s probably worn down from carrying the front court

This team ceiling is so low with Val as your starting center dude can't move on defense and can't sit screens on offense. We lose this game again if Larry wasn't available the same 4th quarters problems pop up as soon as Val entered he is square peg on this team. Both Toronto and Memphis saw that and Griff knows it to.

This board never fails to deliver the idiocy.

He absolutely needs some rest. Larry being back should help. This front office has really fricked this team over with lack of depth at C.

How is Val being a bad fit a hot take? This has been know for sometime that's why our name always comes up when a big maybe on the trade block shoot we are so desperate for a rim protector people wanted us to get involved and try to trade for Time Lord when Portland got him. Our 3 best players are not good defenders and we need a rim protector to cover for them that's why Larry was so huge tonight. Problem is Larry is undersized with a history of injuries and we need him to play major minutes at the 5 to make up for the bad fit Val is.

It’s a hot take because Val has been great all year, then he has one bad game (yes he was terrible) and all of a sudden we need to trade him

You’re an idiot. Sorry but you obviously have t watched many games this year because Jonas is playing his arse off on both ends. He’s blocking more shots and giving better rim protection that he ever has in his career and he can take a game over with his offensive game. He’s at least passable from 3 and he’s developed a really good mid range game to go with his post production.

Your calling me a idiot because I see a weakness in the team that even the team acknowledges why do you think we was trying Zion or Herb at the 5, why did we have to put Dyson on Towns in that Minny game on the last shot. Why does this team play it's best basketball when Larry is healthy? The problem is he can't stay healthy because he has to play alot of minutes at the 5, Larry at the 5 should be a luxury not a necessity. Do you really think the 5 position doesn't need to be addressed on this team?

You don’t win many games getting out rebounded like we did, especially on the offensive end. Shooting 55/37/80 and limiting turnovers are a winning recipe.

Larry was fine tonight bc the jazz pose no real threat on the interior. Both he and Jonas are getting cooked when we play any real front court. You need to decide if you want rebounding/scoring on the floor or a switchable hustle big who is going to get cooked by anyone if relevance anyway

The position isn’t ideal but I’d ask what is the solution?

Yes you’re an idiot if you want to trade JV.
Have you not watched him this year? He’s been great for the most part, and easily the sole reason we’ve won some of our games.

You need a center like JV on your team. Doesn’t mean he has to finish every game. Some matchups he needs to play 30 minutes and Larry 18, and in other matchups Larry needs 30 and JV 18.
We don’t need Clint no offense Capella and Larry or Jarrett no offense Allen and Larry. They are too similar. Having JV and Larry is what you want. What we need is another young 5 in the waiting.
