Or do you think they just see 17-14 after years of struggling and think there’s nothing to be upset about?

We're always upset so they're probably just used to it.

Ha. I literally just thought the exact same thing.

I can’t believe they wouldnt be oblivious to it, surely?

They probably think a winning record is fine. Over half the league have a winning record. It’s nothing special.

Our mediocrity in spite of our talent is the most infuriating element of all of this.

They aren't aware with any New Orleans sports team.

The Saints season was effectively over by week 8.

I was about to start a similar thread. I want a full interview with Griff. Is this what he had in mind when he didn’t make any off season movers other than CZ Is this what he expected when he wanted to “ run it back”

I think he wanted to see this team fully healthy coached by Green for a full season before making any drastic changes. If the team doesn’t improve- I think those drastic changes will come this offseason.

I don't think he had a definitive idea of what to expect except "better" assuming we are healthy.

I'm not saying we just accept mediocrity, but I'm also not going to act like we need to tear it all down either.

Over the last 15 years, we've only had 3 seasons that ended with a better winning percentage than we have right now. If the season ended today, we have our best winning percentage in 6 years.

If we didn’t have to decide whether to give BI a contract then this would make sense but we’re gonna lose his value

I don’t think Griff, before this season, was going to trade BI. I wouldn’t be surprised if he offered him an extension and BI turned it down. Now this season, depending how it ends, should give Griff something to think about regarding BI’s contract issue.

I’m not a contract guy, but if we don’t extend him at the end of this season don’t we lose him for free?

No we have him under control for one more year after this year.

He has 1 more year under contract after this season, but we can extend him in the offseason for a new contract that would start the following season.

So basically, we don't have to extend him this offseason, and we can wait it out 1 more year to decide if we want to keep him. There is a risk in that he would become an unrestricted free agent after next season.

Willie is tied to Ingram. If we re-sign Willie, Ingram will 100% be the guy we roll with going forward.

I can’t see Griff resigning Willie. Willie wasn’t even his first choice and basically didn’t get an extension.
