What gets me is the Trumpist focus on Detroit. Trump actually garnered more votes in 2020 there than in 2016. If I was going to look at Michigan it certainly would not be in Wayne County but in Kent (Grand Rapids) and Saginaw. Where Biden flipped both counties.

They also can’t understand that there are people out there that didn’t necessarily vote FOR Joe Biden they voted AGAINST Donald Trump. It doesn’t matter who Trumps opponent is in 2024 and this will be the case. The Dems could run the worst candidate in history say someone along the lines of a Lori Lightfoot or Keisha Lance Bottoms or Kamala and that still will be the case. For some reason Trump sycophants can’t accept someone not liking him or not voting for him. Look at all the childish comments and names they call people who dare to not vote for their lord and savior Trump.

That’s a legitimate focus. The county’s votes didn’t balance. They couldn’t match up voters with ballots in Wayne County. And they made separate precincts for vote by mail than in-person voters so you couldn’t tell where the discrepancy arose.

It was intentional.

The certification of the county’s vote was delayed until the Republicans were told an audit and investigation would be performed. As soon as they certified, the Democrats said “Yeah, we didn’t make a legally binding agreement to investigate. But you did certify. So tough titties.” Not quite a direct quote, but close.
