They gave FVV and Dillon Brooks $200 mil. Many laughed but those guys are great supplemental pieces to their young studs. We don’t even have one leader with any sort of edge, they have two, three if you count Ime.

Dillon Brooks was so bad with the grizzlies that they under no circumstance were going to bring him back. Rockets gave him 4 yr/86 million. People on this board would have literally hanged themselves if the Pels did that. Come on guys.

The Spurs are going to be much much better than the Rockets longterm IMO.

Wemby is going to be a beast. Like at top 2-3 NBA player. Sengun at his best is probably top 10. I honestly don't think I'd take a single Rocket over Sochan outside of Sengun.

The Spurs are trash and Pop is washed. Early returns on Wemby do look promising, but the Spurs are not even close to being relevant. The Rockets have much more young talent overall, a better coach, and a prototype of a player that has won MVP and Finals MVP.

I actually am not worried about the Spurs overall. I believe they overrated organizationally and the media often gives them the benefit of the doubt for something that was over basically a decade ago. They are not the same franchise as they were when they were relevant year in and out for 2 decades.

What does how much FVV and Brooks make have to do with anything?

Pels fans think TM3 is a max player but a 20 year old Jabari Smith is meh

They’ve done well building out their squad.

The rockets won 17, 20, and 22 games the last three seasons. We were actually trying to win and are still under .500 in the same time frame. Still waiting to string together a stretch of games with this core that shows you are a top team in the conference. It should sting that the rockets rebuilt and are back to playing competitive ball with us. Our team has no guts as a whole
