Is Denbrock really leaving bc BOS didn’t finalize the contract?

Or does that not matter and he was going to leave regardless? I hate to think BOS left the door open but i don’t feel like that was the major factor.

Denbrock leaving:
EASIER PATH to the playoffs at ND, year after year. Gets more money for success or get HC gig because of the "playoff" success, and more MONEY!

No

The BOD just doesn’t meet till february. He likely already signed an offer sheet with Woodward.

thisnis either a ton more money that we didn’t want match or he just wants to be in indiana.

It has nothing to do with the BOS

He’s a Midwest guy and his wife is from New York. He has roots at ND.

His new contract was used to bump ND $ up, obviously.

Contract was agreed to, but held off with the ND offer on the table. Denbrock wanted to be closer to home and got paid handsomely to do so

Promote Sloan and keep it pushing.

I am assuming they wanted to steal him from Kelly and are gonna pay him a shitload of money

Which if that’s the case, fine. He wouldn’t be the first OC to cash in on coaching a generational talent

Jimbo, Joe Brady, O etc

You do realize ND doesn't have the football infrastructure that LSU does; please EXPAND on that easier path to the playoffs statement. Recruiting isnt easy

LSU would have been in the 12-team playoff the last 2 years with 3 plus losses. It doesn't get easier than that.

Denbrock is leaving because he wanted to go home. Job location matters. He did what was best for his family.

He’ll be fine. LSU will be fine.

LSU football will go on.

He wanted out. His agent was shopping his name for an OC job. Not really sure why A&M fell through, not over money obviosuly.

The offseason just got a bit more tumultuous.

Doubt it. When is the last time the BOS rejected a contract? I doubt Woodward is offering extensions unless he knows it will be approved by the BOS.

This is his third stint at ND. It's where he wants to be and LSU likely had no say at all

12 team playoff scenario based upon the team's record. Do you think it is easier to have fewer losses in the SEC, or at ND?

Please expand on your point.
