I don’t watch much NBA but I see they have lost 25 straight. That seems almost impossible to achieve…dare I say intentional? How can a team be this bad?

Nobody else can when the lottery when you have all the balls

The crazy thing is I actually like a good bit of the young talent on their roster

They have had some really bad luck the past 2 years with the draft lottery. But they do have some good young players that need some time to develop. I don't think Monty Williams is the right fit for them but in a few years time they have a chance to be pretty decent.

Offensive and Defensive efficiency bottom 5 in league.
Worst 3-point shooting team in league
Commit most fouls in league
Bottom half in rebounding.
Basically they do absolutely nothing well and don't really have a single dog that can just dominate a game.
Ivey and Cade are really good players, but they are honestly high end secondary pieces.

That’s exactly why the NBA needs to change their draft in a way that allows teams to actually reap the benefits of using a high draft pick.
In the current system, by the time a player is typically ready to be a productive player, he’s in the final year of his contract and ready to hit free agency, so you’re forced to trade him or let him walk if he’s good enough to draw big market interest.

Can this be explained by guys entering the NBA so young? I’d think older college players should contribute more from day 1 more often

They've got highly drafted guys but like 3 of them are any good right now and none of them can shoot.

Ivey has been a disappointment. He can't shoot, turns it over a bunch, and hasn't even cemented a starting spot over Killian Hayes.

Yes, they draft for potential of what the players will be in 3-5 years, not what they are capable of now.
You know who else does this? The MLB, which has a legitimate minor league and full player control for six years after they make a major league roster.

Spacing is a big issue for them. They play 2 bigs and Ausar cant shoot at all. Ivey is only a little better

They are now known as the Really Bad Boys.

Punishment for Ben Wallace sparking the Malice and for DEEE TROIT BASKET BALL! Well deserved if you ask me.

If they were going to do this intentionally, they would have last year for Wemby

Monty Williams is a very nice/great guy but he is not a very good head coach. He is probably better being an assistant. Add that to their roster being some bottom feeders and you guys who haven’t blossomed yet. Well, there you go.

James Wiseman was the first overall pick and he can barely break into the backup rotation, with this team. There's 10 games where he was a healthy DNP.

Pistons could have paid a another coach for a quarter of what they laid Monte and results would have been the same
Monte is trash
Monte is trash

This
They are getting very little if any from their frontcourt especially C position.
You have to go back to Flip Saunders in 05-08 to find more wins than losses

Game is passing Monty up
