Wanting to replace my mom's TV for Christmas. Her space only allows for a 55" TV.

What is my best option for around $500? I know very little about TVs. Help a brother on a budget out!

So far, looking at Hisense Mini-LED and TCL Q7

I have two of these that I use on my patio. I have been very happy with them. I even put a 48 inch version in my guest room. If your mom isn't a gamer and require 120 hz refresh, I'd recommend this TV.

That TCL q750 is the one you want. Best buy should have it in stock for the same price. Just set one up for my father in law. It's on the reddit HDTV buying guide list of top TVs

Best Buy has a 55" Samsung SmartTv for $350. This is the Tv my wife (no pics) and I recently purchased for our bedroom and has worked wonderful. User interface is one of the easier ones I've used. Would recommend.

I bought the $350 55” Samsung CU7000 w 3 year warranty about a month ago. Nice tv for the price & no complaints. It meets my needs & it was cheap.

The CU7000 Crystal UHD one. It works for what we use it for (YoutubeTV/Netflix)

Honestly, 55inch ONN Roku from Wal-Mart would work! $258 or close to it.

You were correct in looking at the Hisense 55U6K in your price range.
