Is the switch at the end of the line on that leg? If you have a loose wire on whatever outlet is ahead of it on the leg you can still have power at that location without it feeding voltage down the leg to the switch.

Is there a red or third wire on the switch?

How did you check voltage at the switch?
Need to check line to ground and switch leg to ground.

How do you know you have no power to the switch? Did you measure across the open switch? If nothing is plugged into the switched outlet that will not tell the tale. You should have a lamp that is turned on, plugged into the outlet when you check across the switch.
Depending on how the switch is wired, you could have neutrals in the switch box. If so check from the input side of the switch to neutral. If you have power there throw the switch and check from the output side to neutral. If you have power there then you probably have a bad outlet of a bad connection. Check the outlet by removing it and checking the from the screws on one side to those on the other.

If it's a 3-way switch, money line just went to -175 on that being the issue.

You probably have a junction box somewhere in the line with an open.
Check your breaker to ensure you have power out of the breaker. Then trace the line to the next JB.

Make sure you are checking for power correctly at the switch (check power in an outlet you know is working to be sure your meter is good and is on the correct setting). Turn off power at the breaker, determine where the hot and neutral are coming in from the feed and check power there. If you have power, check continuity in the switch. If you have continuity and all connections are good, go to the outlet and do the same.
If no power at the switch, try to determine all components in the circuit. Turn off the power and see what lights/receptacles aren't working to determine all that's on the circuit. Turn it back on and see if some of the components are working. If so, you probably have a bad component/connection between the last working component and the first dead one.
Always consider the most logical things first. Have you done any repairs/additions recently that could interfere? Also, look closely at all of your outlets. Check for signs of arcing/heating. I've found many outlet issues without taking off the face plate.
