He’s 16 years old

Nuss had a similar completion percentage in high school at Hurley’s current age. High school QBs with big arms tend to throw the ball downfield a lot which lowers their completion percentage. As far as his running ability goes he has multiple impressive touchdown runs on his film

I dont care if he’s sixteen.
It might be an issue. But it might not.
if he competes and does really well, I don’t really care. You see high school seniors, granted they are 18 sometimes, go straight to the NBA. And they do very very well.
If Hurley is already mentally emotionally and physically advanced; And he does well. Who the hell cares?

Thank you.
Also he seems to be more of a Tiger fan than so many posters, here.
You think he gives up on Brian Kelly every half of every game like the rant does?
He’s mature.

Do not go to sleep on Hurley. He was a solid four star with offers from virtually every major SEC program, including Alabama and Georgia. He also picked up offers from Ohio State and Florida State. I would not be so quick to say he can’t compete.

Collin Hurley will be 16 years old when he steps on campus. He will need at least 2-3 years of development before we can realistically expect him to contribute. Underwood will be here in '25.

And he seems very confident he will compete. If we could land Underwood we would actually have a glut of qb talent. Unreal.

He will still be 16 when he gets here. Relax and let the kid grow up a couple years in the weight room.

Meh. Not really the problem most think it is on college.

not athletic
Ridiculous. The kid is built like a brick shithouse at 16. Maybe he’s not dynamic enough for the SEC. Saying he’s not athletic is beyond retarded. He’s already more physically developed than most grown men.
quote:do you have any idea what kind of kids he was playing against? His competition was TERRIBLE. we have seen him run. Brennan is not MORE of an athlete than Hurley. But yeah LSU loves to recruit football players that aren’t athletic lmfao.
Myles Brennan had over 1k yards rushing for his High School career. This guy had a total of 7.
I’m not trying to defend him from criticism. I’m defending him from nonsensical horseshite. The kid is 16. Try to imagine being 16 and being an athlete worthy of being recruited by LSU at the most important position on the field. He may never play here but he’s a very impressive kid.

of course
Next two years are all Nuss, unless some stud transfer finds his way to BR.
I think we will be pleasantly surprised if he has B or better receivers.

Horrible comparison. 1/100,000 high school seniors can go from high school to the nba.
And… do very very well?!?! Only 3 (Kobe, Kevin Garnett, & LeBron) in the last 30 years have gone straight from high school to the nba and did very well right off the bat

Hurley will never start a game at LSU

That’s a horrible correlation since the level BETWEEN hs and nfl is college. So what if only 1/100000. Maybe one 16 y/o is ready for college football frosh season. Dumb comparison.

Three? I do not think you know what you are talking about.
Carry on.

You know as much as I do with this and that’s about as close to nothing as you can get.

I’d be shocked if he ever plays a meaningful snap here

Apparently Nuss runs 20 mph. He's the dual threat the Rant was dreaming of all along.
