CNN Polls: Trump leads Biden in Michigan and Georgia as broad majorities hold negative views of the current president
By Jennifer Agiesta and Ariel Edwards-Levy
December 11, 2023

Former President Donald Trump has the upper hand over President Joe Biden in two critical battleground states – Michigan and Georgia – with broad majorities in both states holding negative views of the sitting president’s job performance, policy positions and sharpness, according to new CNN polls conducted by SSRS.

In Georgia, a state Biden carried by a very narrow margin in 2020, registered voters say they prefer Trump (49%) over Biden (44%) for the presidency in a two-way hypothetical matchup. In Michigan, which Biden won by a wider margin, Trump has 50% support to Biden’s 40%, with 10% saying they wouldn’t support either candidate even after being asked which way they lean. In both Michigan and Georgia, the share of voters who say they wouldn’t support either candidate is at least as large as the margin between Biden and Trump.

It’s likely much higher in GA. Forgot where I saw this but one of the top Dem strategist openly admitted they are financially all but abandoning GA because of Biden’s deep unpopularity there essentially makes it all worthless due to him killing any D down ticket. I can also see this anecdotally there hasn’t been a Dem ad to be seen in a long time. Back in the times of 2016 and 2020 you couldn’t go 10 feet without being smacked with one

Maybe people are beginning to realize that the fantasy of a candidate that will come in and bring congress together to do the work of the people is just that... fantasy.

all we can hope for in someone who will at least vengefully destroy certain dark corners of government and begin to turn the tide.

Trump policies >>>> Biden policies.

He just has to not say absurd things that alienate too many middle voters. That's the only thing he has to do to win. He shouldn't have lost last time.

I think these Polls are what makes a lot of you think the elections are rigged. You actually believe these Polls, when it's obvious ony a certain type of person would even participate, not to mention to small sample size.

Reminds me of the way we used to rate radio and tv with diaries.
Once they started using PPM's and getting real actual data, it was
right the opposite of what the small sample had been telling them for decades.
They had been completly wrong the entire time..

I don’t trust the poll at all but it is true the Dem financial machine is abandoning GA faster than a black father. Much of it is shifting to places like Wisconsin and Penn where Biden isn’t despised as much so he can’t kill down ticket candidates as bad

They've just turned it Purple and both Senate seats, and won it last time.

I do not believe this.

If they win GA its EXTREMELY difficult to find a path to victory for any R.

I don’t really give a shite what you believe. I saw the claim made by a Dem strategist for the DNC and dug into the public finance records myself. Go do it

GA was never turned purple. Covid vote harvesting got the state for Biden and Rs stayed home for the senate seats largely based off Trumps claims about stolen elections. The actual state Gov of Ga is very right wing.

In reality, it’s not even this close. At +15 to both numbers.

If CNN is reporting that, then

A) this will be a bloodbath and all my predictions over the past three years will thankfully be flat wrong.

or

B) some bombshell event or news is about to take place that will be against Trump

I agree with all of that.

He didn’t and if you truly believe he received less votes than Biden last time, you have your head up your arse.
