It's government funded healthcare. They don't put medical doctors upon a pedestal.

I'm not saying they don't deserve $125k, but our placement of medical doctors on a pedestal is rather odd. Fauci etc have shown us that lots of MDs aren't sharp at all. Sure, they went to school a long time. But, are they really more impressive than your average Engineer, or scientist?

Other than natural causes, medical malpractice/accidents are by far the leading cause of death in America. Up to 10x the amount of gun deaths

Hmmmmmm

Getting a degree and full training as a doctor or surgeon is a lot more difficult and effort than an engineering degree..

I have a eng degree and geology degree and know coworkers that left the field and became doctors.. the amount of time and specialized training they do is significant .

They deserve their pay check.

Life in your hands or an uneconomic well.. I could not handle their stress..

This is a stupid comment. Perhaps proximity is the answer. Europe has an immigration crises as well from Africa.

Amzing this board could loop in Fauci to a post about car wash managers.

I’m not against patient safety initiatives, but this needs to go away. One study with less than 20 deaths was extrapolated nationwide to “create” this med error stat.

I’m missing the part about car wash. Is that an inside joke or something?

Help others make a decent wage and you will always be successful. I call it a mutually advantageous partnership between employer and employee.

Next week I'm taking the kids to my local Buc-ee's. I've been dreaming of those awesome BBQ Sandwiches I've heard so much about. Plus what is this amazing feat that Buc-ee's has succeeded in acomplishing - as in those immaculate restrooms? I want to see this eighth wonder of the world for myself.

Thank you Buc-ees.

This is more of an indictment of socialized medicine which limits the physician compensation in the EU and Canada.

Not like a comparison to doctors is in the title or anything.

US doctors want this, and dont realize they'll make less money.

Canadians have been coming here for health care. When their clinics back up, they come across the border.

god you guys are figs

anyway, it’s much harder and more expensive to obtain a medicine degree here than in yurop.

gps basically just do a 4-6 year stint (total) and don’t do residencies.

Most GPs in yurop get as much school as a PA or pharmacist does here in the US
