When they finally defeated Napoleon, most of the European Powers took a 100 years off between major wars

Because there are so few photographs of Napoleon. Maybe even only one.

I wasn't too serious with my "hella short" post, but upon reflection I do think there's a certain problem with comparing Napoleon to the average man of his day.

Napoleon was a successful general and statesman. The "average man" of his day was a flea-bitten sharecropper. Comparing Napoleon to the average is injecting a sort of egalitarianism into the question that's taken for granted in the 21st Century, but would have seemed strange to a man from Napoleon's time.

Put differently, however tall Napoleon was (5'7"?) really was quite short for a conquering leader of his day. Most such people were royalty or nobility, ate diets much more similar to ours than to those of the peasantry, and grew up riding, shooting, and so on. This class of people probably averaged around 5'10", just like people in the developed world do now.

Nostradamus predicted the coming of not one, but three antichrists. Napoleon was his first Antichrist. Hitler second. And the third would be the biggest and baddest, the one foretold in Revelation.
