What teams would be ranked top 12 for purposes of the CFP?

Does it matter at this point
The AP poll had
1 Michigan
2 Washington
3 FSU
4 Bama
The coaches had
1 Michigan
2 Washington
3 FSU
4 Bama
5 Texas
So in essence it should have come down to Bama and Texas but since Texas had the head to head over Bama in Tuscaloosa that got Texas in and Texas did look a lot more dominant against Texas Tech and OSU last two games.
Bama beating UGA was the catalyst it needed to get back in and at end of the day I think Texas should have been the team to be left out due to the OU loss. I don't think the big 12 was any better than the ACC and a one loss Big 12 should not have trumped a zero loss FSU who had two sec wins on its resume

And this is why we don't use the BCS anymore.
The whole point of the playoff committee was SUPPOSED to be so we could instill some common sense into the computer rankings. At least that's what most of us thought originally.
No P5 team is ranked ahead of a P5 team with less losses, except Bama ahead of FSU.
If two teams have the same record, the team that won H2H is ranked higher, except Bama over Texas.

#9 Penn State @ #8 Oregon, winner plays #1 Michigan
#17 Liberty @ #5 Texas, winner plays #4 Florida State
#10 Mizzou @ #7 Ohio State, winner plays #2 Washington
#11 Ole Miss @ #6 Georgia, winner plays #3 Alabama
Liberty being the highest ranked Group of Six team knocks #12 Oklahoma out of the Playoff.

Ironically, the 7-10 matchup is actually happening in the Cotton Bowl

That’s not true. In fact LSU is an example that disproves your statement.

No this is why it "SHOULD BE USED" humans (especially those who do not understand football) get caught up in ONE DATA SET POINT lie Head 2 Head, computers don't. Bama had the edge over Texas on SOS, most top 25 wins (4-3), most top 15 wins (3-1), better loss (#5 in old BCS vs. OU what ever they were) a stronger overall conference etc. etc.
NOTICE: the Coaches Poll who "Know Football" had Texas and Bama tied, and that after all the Propaganda of Head 2 Head trumps everything else.
With the added emphasis on players missing, Texas should have gotten 4th, IMHO, over FSU, but they should not be ahead of Bama only because of Head 2 Head.

You are wrong, twice.
AP Top 25:
1. Michigan (51) 13-0
2. Washington (11) 13-0
3. Texas 12-1
4. Florida State 13-0
5. Alabama (3) 12-1
Coaches Poll:
1. Michigan (51) 13-0
2. Washington (8) 13-0
3. Florida State 13-0
T4. Alabama (3) 12-1
T4. Texas 12-1
Both the coaches and the AP had FSU ahead of Alabama.
The AP had Texas ahead of Bama, the coaches had them tied.

Humans entertain the PROPAGANDA, Computers dont.
None of those votes think FSU would beat Bama or Texas, they are the same reason we got TCU last year. You people amaze me tbh, you like those voters do not believe it, you are just Bama haters, SAD REALLY, when you cant even tell the truth about young men who have done nothing to you. Maybe you need an introspective about what honest is.

If head 2 head isn’t the most important data point when teams have equal records why bother playing??
Head to head results are literally the ONLY reason to play the freaking sport

Fake news. The dumbass on Twitter incorrectly flipped Alabama and Texas. I did the math. The BCS would have been Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Florida State
