Did you makeup the 169/hr number? It’s not mentioned anywhere in the article.
I saw a post on r/nursing 2 weeks ago that said that the hourly wage for Kaiser nurses would be raised up to $169.00 an hour that was a result of this negotiation. For some reason I can’t find it now but it’s definitely true. When I find it I’ll post the link

If nurses made $169/hr the Healthcare industry would implode.
That’s CALIFORNIA pay. Obviously states like Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida would not pay anywhere near that amount.

How would you know it’s “definitely true” if you can’t find any evidence of it
In no world is a bedside nurse worth 169/hr. There is no shortage of nurses. There is a shortage of nurses willing to work bedside since Covid.
Nurses were treated like dogs and worked hard during COVID. There only rewards were free pizza and there organizations calling them “heroes”. This lead to many switching to travel nursing to triple their salaries. Many have left bedside all together.

A lot of latino chicks who are into fitness work as RNs in California. Nothing beats a fit Latino girl who has a plump arse.

Kaiser Permanante negotiated a pay raise with a nursing union in California that would raise hourly RN wages to $169.00 an hour.
Where are you seeing that nurses are making over $300k working for Kaiser. As was already mentioned its not in the article. There's not a single nurse out there that's worth even close to that.

Or just take a contract position across town to make what you feel you are worth.

So because you saw it on reddit's nursing forum it's got to be true? You need to leave the nurses alone and see an actual doctor to get your brain examined.

My man linked Reddit
Imagine someone linking tigerdroppings and using this dumb thread as “proof” of nurses getting 169/hr

So you want a union to protect and place folks in a position they aren't qualified for or have no business being in? That may be the dumbest thing I have read today.

Ok. Also per your reddit thread.

Yeah but you need to max out your steps and be per diem to make $169/hr. It takes something like 30 years of experience to max out your step to make that kind of money.

Who gives a frick if it’s Reddit just read the fricking article and see where it says that Kaiser nurses will be getting paid $169 an hour in 3-4 years

There is no article that says that you stupid frick. There's not article in the reddit thread and the article you linked says nothing of the sort. In fact your article contradicts your title...

What’s wrong with unions? I can see why mom-and-pop businesses would be against them, but corporations that are making billions and billions of dollars each year? Come on.

I'm sorry.
Nurses are overpaid if anything.
My mom has taught nursing for 25 years.
Her school is in like 75th percentile board passage rate, so a good bit above average.
She shows me exams.
Lots of these soon to be nurses are damn near retarded. I could have done that coursework in high school.
Nursing is by no means an intellectually vigorous field. Engineers, scientists, physicians, could all piss on nurses.
