Well they gave them a timeout when they didn't even possess the ball apparently.

You tell me

It was also a foul if called properly. Once I bounded they were trying g to foul him.

They were holding Reaves on the steal.

I watched the clip and this does not seem apparent to me.

The bleachers will be 99.99% Lakers fans.

The league will definitely want them in.

It is what it is.

I said the same thing. NBA has invested a lot of marketing and money into this tournament. It’s a really big deal to them and want to succeed. So they want to legitimize it very badly, so best thing is to have LeBron win it.

It’s going to be so bad with one sided calls tomorrow.

I guess we'll just have to knock them out Thursday to prevent it.

Yeah, but the NBA wants the Lakers in it. The calls will be one sided tomorrow. Just don't lose your shite in the game thread.

Let’s see how fast Herb catches 2 fouls. That will tell you everything you need to know.

Pretty sure the league will push for a Lakers/Bucks final.

Honestly… frick the Lakers. If there’s one team and their entitled c unt fans I can’t stand… it’s them.

We need to be prepared for a one sided officiated game on Thursday. Watch Herb in cheap foul trouble quick and Lebron going to the line over nothing and Zion getting pounded and no whistle.

We need to blow them out and defend well as we aren’t going to get any favours from the officials.

The lakers already have a +156 FT differential this season, the refs will favor them Thursday.

the NBA is seeing interest and success across all sized markets with the in season tournament. i wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA would rather “give up” the in season championship to smaller markets while focusing on the big markets for the real playoffs

it’s easy to play the victim and blame our future loss on the refs/NBA but it’s also pretty fricking lame to do so before it even happens

Nah.

The in season was always all about ratings to get a boost early season.

They want to up the value of their TV partner packages, that's 100% what this is about

And I truly don't expect any call to go our way in the fourth quarter. As you said, it is what it is.

I agree, but I don't buy any conspiracy theory of the league interferes with the officiating. It's just about LeBron getting the calls because he's the 2nd-greatest player in the history of the sport.

It's an interesting matchup, because both teams face mismatches. Herb and Dyson are great defenders, but neither is really strong enough to deal with LeBron all night. And JV is too slow to guard Davis.

On the other hand, JV could be aggressive early and easily give Davis a couple of quick fouls, and then Zion would just absolutely dominate the paint. And Reaves's handle isn't nearly good enough to deal with Herb, Dyson, and Jose -- he's going to have a bad night.

Zion needs to go right at AD, if we get him in foul trouble we are in great shape.
