Cry more, Chuck.
quote:

An angry Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) invoked iconic U.S. President Ronald Reagan in a temper tantrum over Republicans who want to put America over Ukraine.

With GOP lawmakers digging on insisting that money to address the illegal alien crisis be tied to the Biden regime’s $60 billion Christmas gift to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the New York City Democrat sought to shame his political adversaries rather than do the right thing and secure the border.

“If Republicans want to bring up immigration right now, right in the middle of trying to pass aid to Ukraine and other issues, the onus is on them to present serious bipartisan proposals that can get broad support from Democrats, not just 1 or 2 Democrats,” Schumer said in his Senate floor hissy fit.

“And if Republicans are unable to produce a bipartisan, a broadly bipartisan immigration proposal, they should not block aid to Ukraine in response,” he continued. “They should not be resorting to hostage taking…”

“That would be madness. Utter madness,” he whined. “It would be an insult to our Ukrainian friends who are fighting their lives against Russian autocracy and could go down as a major turning point where the West didn’t live up to its responsibilities and things turned away from our democracies and our values and towards autocracy.”

“Ronald Reagan would be rolling in his grave, rolling in his grave if he saw his own party let Vladimir Putin roll through Europe. So once again, I urge my Republican colleagues to think carefully, carefully about what’s at stake with this week’s vote,” referring to the upcoming high stakes vote to bilk hard-working Americans out of their tax dollars for yet another giveaway to the notoriously corrupt Eastern European country and its rapidly shrinking leader.

The OT war thread agrees with Chuck. Wasnt Putin going to roll over Poland on his way to occupy Paris 2yrs ago?

After they had ran out of food, water, ammo and soliders? And the economy had colapsed as well

Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave already because we are not securing our borders.

Well, Reagan was also the President who thought he had a deal for immigration reforms in order to pass some other legislation the Dems wanted only to see the Dems not live up to their word.

Reagan would see the utter chaos at the border and say, "We have bigger problems at home." He would then go to his allies in Europe and convince them that it is in their best interests to help Ukraine. We've done enough.

Putin would never have invaded Ukraine if Reagan were President.

Interesting take, but that's a double edged sword. Why do they want to take hostage the protecting of the American border over gift money to Ukraine?

He seems to suggest funding Ukraine is a need and the border is just a want. I see it the other way around. Actually, securing the border is a must, and funding Ukraine is completely unnecessary.

Immigration reform? Seems like they’ve reformed it just fine on their own.

Schumer is a traitor.

He knows damn well Russia isn't "rolling through Europe."

They couldn't roll through Ukraine even before the West dumped money and weapons there.

Russia is a dying power and only useful as a Boogeyman for politicians to build up as a threat and blame election losses on.

Really is sad that protecting the Homeland takes a back seat to another nation.

They like to deny connections to the phrase "replacement theory," but tell me what helps that cause and is not being done/supported by the likes of Schumer. I'll add...he can EABOD.

JUST APPLY THE FREAKING LAWS ON THE BOOKS. Why Repubs can't call Dems out for holding actual law implementation hostage to get what they want is ridiculous.
