Oak Grove has been the best public small school

Do they still have a parish-wide attendance zone for football? If so, shouldn't they as an open-enrollment school be playing with the "select" schools?

42-35 lab was an excellent game with lots of big momentum swings.

It's not "final" yet. Oak Grove is still leading, 55-30, in the fourth quarter.

Curious about that because Lafayette parish public schools that have open enrollment are in the Select divisions for playoffs

Bruh, Oak Grove beat Haynesville 61-27 earlier this year. Why on Earth did you suddenly think that Haynesville could reverse that outcome in the Prep Classic?

Well, I suppose that someone could speak up at an upcoming LHSAA business meeting and question why so many North Louisiana schools have been allowed to go around the "select" designation. It does seem like North Louisiana should not be claiming to own high school football in Louisiana when the rest of the state has to abide by a more strict set of rules than they do. I mean, for example, Southern Lab did better against common opponents than Oak Grove did during the regular-season, but then they weren't allowed to play each other in the playoffs.

Its because Oak Grove does not have open enrollment. Yes, they are the only school with football in West Carroll Parish but kids still have to sit out a year if they go there like other non-select school.

This news video explains why they petitioned the LHSAA about being classified select last year. They obviously won the petition.

Hopefully not much longer. There is a proposal for January that would grant full eligibility to all freshmen when they enroll into an LHSAA school. If it passes, it would bring us in line with almost every other state in the Southern region.

Just curious because nobody mentioned it during yesterdays games:

Were the LHSAA playoff streams free on either Yurview or NFHS?

Trying to watch the games today. Thanks friends.
