Hope he’s okay. Good, young player.

League will likely overreact and make more stupid rules.

Dang, he sure was acting like a little bitch for a sprained ankle.

I've seen players snap their legs in two and make less fuss than that.

So he shouldn’t be pissed he’s out the rest of the game, and knew he was injured. He slammed his helmet, he wasn’t crying.

But I’m sure you know what it’s like to react as a franchise NFL QB in a tight prime time game.

A high ankle sprain can hurt just as bad as a broken ankle dip shite

Yep, if not worse.

Lawrence is a competitor so he was probably just pissed he knew he was out for the game.

It did probably hurt like hell though. I’ve broken numerous bones, sprained or torn tendons and ligaments, gotten my bell rung. A sprained ankle is second only to broken ribs as the most painful.

He did walk all the back to the locker room.

Speaking of the walk back to locker room, Jacksonville doesn’t have a cart to put their franchise QB on, instead of forcing him to walk and take a chance for more damage to ankle/leg?

While we are on the subject, why wasn’t he given a penalty for taking helmet off? Or throwing equipment on field?

#Jaguars coach Doug Pederson says QB Trevor Lawrence has "just a right high-ankle sprain." Everything looks stable and they'll see how he looks this week.

Happy for Trev - worried about that defence though. Was not impressed last night.

The problem with high ankle sprains is that they take forever to fully heal. But you can tape them up and grind through the pain at 80% effectiveness. That might work for lineman but a good QB at 80% = a bad QB and a bad QB means a bad season.

That's basically been the story of the Titans with Tannehill. He's slightly above average and perfectly suited for the Titan's offense but he always sprains an ankle and turns to crap. And then teams load the box to stuff Henry. At least this year they told his overpaid arse to stay on the bench so they could let an (also gimpy) rookie go out there and wing it.

Mahomes played thru the same injury, so anyone can gut one out and win a SB ring, amirite?
