Can y’all just admit than any of the other 4 teams would smoke FSU with their 3rd string freshman QB???
The committee is supposed to pit the best 4 teams in, not the most deserving. FSU would be a 14+ point underdog to any of the other teams. Oregon would be single digits, UGA would be favored over 3/4.

I understand the arguments but in my opinion Bama and GA would beat Fl St and Michigan.can’t wait till next year when the pretenders can be exposed.

It's not that I want FSU. They proved tonight they can coach and win with defense. They did their job all season. IMO, they are very similar to Michigan.

But FSU would not be playing their 3rd string QB in the playoffs. It would be their 2nd string QB. He has a concussion not a torn ACL.

FSU defense is pretty salty, and bamas offense is meh.
And yes, regular season record matters substantially.
Hell just look at current rankings. FSU has done nothing to let go of their #3 ranking.
You could make the case that bama jumped Texas today, but there's that pesky H2H game in Tuscaloosa

Because they went 13-0 in a power 5 conference. Because they had a significant injury to their star player, but overcame it to continue winning. Because they played 2 SEC teams as part of their OOC schedule. Would be criminal to deny them the opportunity. They have earned it. But I think the committee will probably screw them over.

They will have their second string QB back for the playoffs with about a month to prepare.
