Felt like this class could’ve been around 5-8 at one point, don’t see it now

This class is not bad by any means but I would label it as okay.

Auburn currently has a higher ranked recruiting class than LSU.

Obviously a lot more time but losing McKinley and Wardell Mack after the season our defense just had is brutal.

We could be in for a few year roster turnaround before we our competing for a natty.

Let’s not sugar coat it. This is a bad class in comparison. 6th best in SEC and if you throw in Tx and Ok they are
8th. That is not going to cut it!!

Have to win the portal where you need to

This is due to a lack of recruiters/coaches in the defensive staff.

We're ranked 14th on 247. We haven't had a class ranked this poorly since 2018, and that's when we were going through a head coaching change.

5-7 Florida has a significantly higher ranked class than LSU right now. Hugh Freeze has barely been at Auburn for a year and yet Auburn has a higher ranked class than LSU. Given the turmoil other SEC programs are going through, there's really no excuse for having such a low ranked class.

The complete inability of this staff to recruit elite CBs is inexcusable.

The writing was on the wall earlier in the year, but we were told "it's only April/June/August/October". Well, now we're a few weeks out from signing day and here we are, with a class siting well outside the top 12.

You guys are panicking for no reason. Do you know what was brutal in recruiting? Landon Collins, Devonta Smith, Cam Robinson, Dylan Moses, Pat Surtain, etc... Even after the 2019 Championship season recruiting was bad. Let's not act like it just got bad because of Brian Kelly....

Brian Kelly is not a recruiter and is struggling right now. If House stays then he’s committing career suicide

Going to wait until signing day to melt. Bussey and Reliford are still possibilities. Miller? Who knows.

If BK means what he says about being elite, he is going to have to recruit elite talent.

8th best in the conference is simply unacceptable

Lucky to be top 15. What's worse is the positions of need are bare af.

The defensive staff should be embarrassed. Just flat out awful that these other programs who are bad or struggling have out recruited you. How the hells it happen

This class is going to cause problems in the future. There are some good players but we are missing the top end talent.

LSU is not a household name anymore. They aren’t going to compete for titles with this staff and we don’t have the NIL money that other schools have. The days are gone when 5 stars would do the “can’t see me” gesture after picking up an lsu hat

Overall I think there are some really good players in this class but you needed big-time prospects at CB and DL. The fact that you couldn't sign elite prospects at those positions is a huge failure and heads need to roll for it.

I could also buy a gripe about the WR group. With LSU’s WR pedigree and 2024 offense to sell, I wonder why you'd even bother with project-type prospects. Billiot has a big opportunity to show what he's got at the AA bowl.

Bump. Considering that this class is now ranked 4th by On3 and 7th in their Industry ranking, it may be time to re-evaluate a few of these comments.
