Any Clues As To How Old This Fellow Is?

I saw him last year at night and he’s a bit bigger this year. I’m guessing 2.5 years?



Here he is with a dumb spike that I see around the feeder all hours of the day

IMHO he’s a 3 1/2 yr old. A bit too thick in the body and antlers for a 2 1/2.

I think this is him from last year.

Why do we use half years when describing buck age? It’s accurate, but no one is going to think the buck was born in November.
