No JD, No Nabers, No Thomas, Future of the Defense unclear.

BK better have a plan or it’s going to be a rough year…especially with Texas and OU coming in.

The schedule couldn’t be any easier.

I would be very surprised if this team next season loses more than 2 games.

This is impossible to predict right now with what I assume to be a new DC and new quarterback who hasn’t had a lot of experience yet.

I’d say if we win 10 games again next year, that’d be a hell of an accomplishment.

BK year 1: 9-3 regular season
BK year 2: 9-3 regular season
BK year 3: 9-3 regular season (Realistic expectation)

We'll have a loaded and almost 3 yrs of college experience at every position on offense. If we add impact wr from portal then it's gravy.

Def is the big ? We need 7-8 legitimate talents added at cb (2-3), s (1-2), mlb (1), dt (2-3).

Usc loses Caleb Williams and their def is worse then ours, crazy as is to believe. They recruit portal just as well as us, so should be favorite going into that.

Ucla loses best player on def and ton of mature guys from the roster. We'll be favored there.

Get bama, ou, ole miss at home.

Arky, Scar, Florida, hopefully atm programs in shambles currently.

Nicholls, s Alabama are wins.

8-4 to 10-2

If we whiff in portal on defense, 7-5 to 9-3

Bama and Ole Miss are the 2 toughest opponents and both coming to Baton Rouge

With the expansion of the playoffs to 12 teams, that should be the expectation every year from here forward

2025 should be the NC year but I expect we'll be competing for a spot in the CFP next year. Possibly 2 losses with worst case 3. Really depends on how quickly Nuss and the offense can start to gel. Will have the benefit of a mature Oline and great RB's. We'll find the WR's as the year goes on. Probably going to see a lot more TE receptions with the talent we will have there. Defense should be better. How much better will determine those 2-3 losses. Anything better than that will be gravy.

If and I mean if...there are no major changes on the defensive coaching side with a proven DC and staff then we can only expect the same dismal production. Also...recruiting background needs to be a major attribute.

I love when people panic about losing players they weren’t sure would be good before the season. BTJ was unproven and a lot of people wanted Daniels benched.

Other guys will step up.

If we get past USC and UCLA, 10 - 2.

Nuss is good. The offense will be fine. The defense can’t be worse.

I see 7-10 regular season wins currently when looking at the schedule, the poor defensive performance in 2023 and understanding there will be a period of the transition from Daniels to Nuss with the loss of Nabors and Thomas.

Potential losses USC, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Bama and A&M.

8-4 seems realistic to me. Huge drops on O. Better on D equals 4 loses.

You are not allowing for player development which BK has shown he can do! 12-0 regular season. If we pull in a couple of experienced DL and CB in portal for depth
